Leon developed a love of houses from an early age working on homes that his father built in Pasadena, Ca. Leon also kept busy doing woodworking in the family garage. He earned his BA degree at Humboldt State University studying woodworking, construction, architecture and art. He soon built his own passive solar home in Arcata, CA. He obtained his California Contractors License and built homes in Humboldt County, specializing in passive solar design. In 1985 he moved to Santa Rosa and began buying homes and fixing them up for resale. During that time, Leon renovated and sold over 20 homes. He discovered that he really enjoyed the selling process.
In 1991 he earned his real estate brokers license, and began selling real estate at Prudential California Realty where he was "Rookie of the year" and a top producer every year after that. In 1998 he joined Creative Property Services (Better Homes Realty) where he began helping his clients with commercial and investment property as well residential sales. In 2007 Leon was one of the first agents in Sonoma County to earn his EcoGreen Certification studying many aspects of Green Building. Now in 2018 Now that Better Homes Realty was aquired by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Leon is thrilled to offer his clients many more resources in the marketing of their property. Leon was the Top Agent at his Northbay company in 2017 and is also a Member and Specialist with The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
Leon is married to Marjorie Mann, who has a successful acting career in addition to being his real estate partner.They were married at Landmark Vineyards in Kenwood, Ca, and live in Bennett Valley.
In 2001, Marjorie decided to obtain her real estate license in order to help Leon manage the large volume of business he was generating. Leon's clients love Marjorie, and she continues to be an important part of their real estate business when she is not on stage performing, www.MarjorieMann.com . Marjorie adds her skill in home design to provide Home Staging services for all their clients. Marjorie obtained her designation as an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) in 2005.
Leon enjoys working in his woodworking shop at home, doing photography, and hiking in the hills of Sonoma County. Marjorie enjoys acting, writing, making jewelry, belly dancing and travel with Leon.
